Reclaiming Humanity in Medicine and Health Care
Lovingkindness in Medicine and Health Care
The accelerating corporate takeover of American medicine is dehumanizing US medicine. This course begins with a simple but transformative premise: that medicine and health care are not merely technical services or economic commodities, but living expressions of human connection. This course teaches how to shift from a culture of fear and self-interest to a culture where lovingkindess is foundational. A high level of ethics for the medical profession is the natural outcome. It is designed for those studying to join the medical profession, those already practicing in clinical, public health, or administrative roles and for patients, caregivers, family members, and community advocates who want to help shape a system that honors the humanity of everyone touched by this system.

Common Ground, Uncommon Power: Diverse Faiths Meet the Moral Crises of Our Time
Differing Convictions Meet Shared Moral Crises and Act in Unison
This course begins with the honest acknowledgment that the fracturing of our world is real, that the moral crises of our time are genuinely urgent, and that the approaches we have tried so far have not been equal to the depth of brokenness. It brings together people of diverse backgrounds who share a common goal of addressing the moral crises of our time ethically and morally, to leave future generations a better world. Unitive Justice theory and practice give this course practical tools for analyzing and responding to our moral crises that are always oriented toward healing rather than punishment, toward wholeness rather than division. It provides a clear map of what the movement from fracture toward healing actually looks like in institutions, communities, and human relationships. These are tools for seeing where we are, understanding how we got here, and identifying the concrete moves that bend the arc of a community or culture toward justice and wholeness.
EDUCATION – Coming 2027
Creating Unitive Justice Schools with UJEd
One framework. One culture. One Theory.
Three levels will be available: Primary, Secondary and Higher Education levels and each course can be implemented in any nation. This course introduces one framework — the fourteen Arcs of Unitive Justice, each tracing a path from a punitive pattern to its unitive counterpart. This permits one culture — a culture of lovingkindness, where care is not a private virtue a few adults happen to have, but a shared way of being. The course provides one theory — a single, coherent understanding of why harm arises and how wholeness is restored. The moral and structural differences between the traditional punitive school culture and a Unitive Justice school culture provide a compelling reason for school culture change at every level of education. This approach is now transforming the culture of schools in the US and Uganda.

Seeding the New Economy: Unitive Justice in Finance
A People’s Guide to Transforming Money, Control, and Value
The financial system we have inherited is built on domination and separation: for some to win, others must lose, and that order is maintained by control imposed from above. Unitive Justice points toward a different foundation entirely—one rooted in connection, equality, and wholeness. At its moral center is lovingkindness: active care for the well-being of everyone, including those we find difficult. From that center, justice comes to mean repairing relationships rather than ranking and punishing. Brought to finance, it invites us to imagine economic life organized not around control that must be enforced, but around connection and community: arrangements people participate in freely because they are just and generous. Seeding the new economy, in this sense, means shifting the very basis of our financial order—from something a few “hold over” the many, to something that arises among us all. This course is for laypeople and for professionals in the finance industry who want to discover the financial system through the eyes of lovingkindness and integrity.

From Proportional Revenge to Lovingkindness: Culture Change for Jails and Prisons
Reimagining Justice from the Inside Out
This course takes an asset-focused approach to corrections reform, not deficit-focused as many past approaches have been, but this course is asset-focused to a new degree. With lovingkindness as its foundation, it begins with the assumption that many who are incarcerated are inherently good and that they are capable, in a carefully-created environment, of developing new habits of mind and of making significantly different choices. It assumes that with training, inmates are capable of leading punitive system reform — those who were the problem become the solution — with the support and collaboration of correctional staff. Individual transformation then becomes community transformation. This course will be offered to two different groups, one for those who are incarcerated and one for jail and prison staff.
