LEVEL II: COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION

Prerequisite: Completion of Level I

  • Focuses on principles relating to community transformation: equality/inclusion, connection, mutually-beneficial action, context and synergy.

  • Guides educators in moving beyond punitive elements of exclusionarydiscipline when addressing students' issues.

  • Engages educators in facilitating Unitive Group Circles for addressing low-level harm or patterns of misconduct impacting groups of students: truancy/attendance issues, bulling prevention and microaggressions.

  • Focuses on collaborative efforts that lead to synergistic outcomes in safe stimulating and welcoming learning environments.
